I'll begin by saying that "There's really no reason not to buy a MAC!" I've been completely impressed over the last month - specifically in the following areas:

- Speed (All functions are amazingly fast!!!!)

- Upgradeable Memory (Ability to upgrade memory- up to 16GB in minutes!!!)

- Multi-Tasking (Easily runs multiple applications and begs for more)

- Display!!!! - Most vibrant high resolution display available. You have to see it to really appreciate it!

- True Plug & Play - All of my devices connected upon start-up immediately (CyberPower UPS, Canon Scanner, Western Digitial Network Attached Storage, HP Wireless Printer...) I never had to load a driver, insert a cd or touch a thing. It all happened behind the scenes!!!

- Fully Integrated With My Yahoo Account!!! - Yahoo Mail and Yahoo Calendar syncs and updates instantly!


I was hesitant to make the switch from PC to MAC but I am completely happy that I did. It's probably a matter of personal preference but the MAC OS is amazingly intuitive and provides the stability, ease of use, and power that I need to do everything from web surfing, email, media management(music/video), Word, Excel, Powerpoint to high end photo and video editing! An added bonus - it's an absolutely beautiful computer that complements any desktop!!!

This is now my 5th Mac I have owned and this is by far the best. I just went from a late 2006 2.16ghz Core2Duo iMac to this one and it is amazing. all things is super fast and my setup was a breeze. Just told it to restore from my Time motor backup and and about 1 hour later all my apps, files, and users where all there.

Great For Protools And Music Production. : Apple Mac Mini MC936LL/A with Lion Server (NEWEST VERSION)

i have had many apple products, from ipod, iphone, imac's macbook pro's for about 4 years. And i never find a mac so excellent and great for music production, i've been using pro tools for 5 years and all the time have the same issue. About running to much plug-ins and because i use a firewire device, the computer all the time heated and lowers its performance.. But not with this mac mini. This mac mini comes with 4gb of ram that it's ok but if you are going to use for music production you must upgrade your ram to 8gb and in the amazon store you can do it for 50-70 dolars . This mac mini comes with two 500gb 7200 rpm hard disk that it's so convenience for pro tools because, in one hard disk you can setup all your software, and the other can run all your sessions of reason, pro tools etc... And because the rotational speed it's 7200 rpm the computer run so smooth you can do all things while you are working on pro tools like facebook, internet, music, videos without about about cpu overload.

i recommend if you buy this computer add the trackpad to enjoy all the lion taste and if you are going to use it as your music produccion computer, the apple keyboard numeric keypad(usb) it's a must.

there it's a website that collate all the cpu operation on every mac [...] you can see this mac mini has best operation that roughly every imac quadcore because the core i7 makes a huge discrepancy and 7200 rpm with 8gb of ram makes a super computer nowadays.

i tried roughly every brand of ram ...crucial, samsung,kingston,corsair,hynix but for me the best memory ram for mac's macbook pro, mac mini, imac.... It's the crucial ddr3 1333mhz 10600
